I was just looking through my digital photos to find a decent shot of myself when I ran across this photo which I have always loved. I actually use it as one half of my desktop (my other monitor has a picture of Jackie on it, even if she hates the photo).
Monarch Butterfly
I was able to take this shot with Jackie’s Digital Rebel XT and her father’s 200mm lens. Without the zoom I doubt I would have been able to get anywhere close to the butterfly. I really need to get a good lens like that for ourselves so I can take some more macro shots. I really enjoy taking pictures of flowers and nature, so a big zoon lens would come in handy.
Anyway, if you’re interested in more shots from this particular album they can be had here. The album does contain a lot of nice nature shots. We were up in Elora at the time, so we have some very nice shots of the gorge and river. I personally enjoy the rocks the best (if you exclude the butterfly that is).
