Apparently this is a know bug with KDE. Replacing the default browser (Konqueror) with Firefox seems to do the trick!

Well, KDE is nice. I really like it. My only problem thus far is that I can't get flash to work on the 64 bit version of Kubuntu! I'm not sure if it's a software or hardware issue. Sadly the information printed from Konqueror when run from the shell doesn't seem to help very much either.

I get a nice black box where the flash animation/video should be and that's it. I have attempted both the nspluginwrapper (for 32 bit flash) as well as the native 64 bit version which is provided by Adobe. Both suffer the same issue...

Personally I don't think the above is a deal breaker, but I'm trying to sell my friend Matthew on the idea of Linux rather than using pirated software. For him flash is a big deal though. If I can't get it to work, what are the odds that he can??

No luck on this one yet... I've posted on the ubuntu forums ( http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=937201 ) and haven't received any replies yet. Guess I'll have to figure this one out myself...

It was all done in about 30 minutes! I love this OS sometimes. I re-installed most of what I needed after the first login, and have been adding anything missing over the past two days. Great stuff, I swear!
