This was my first, and only, attempt to create a fan site for something I really loved. I have always been a fan of William Gibson’s work, and so I decided to make a website devoted to it. The master plan was to create a shell and end up with a community which would create and submit content – reviews, cyberpunk short stories, wiki, etc. Sadly the site never took off.
Even so, neuromancer.ca did end up going through a few facelifts before I finally retired it. These days the files are still hosted here and can be accessed. This continues to be one of my favourite pieces of work, even if it never gained the popularity I was looking for. It was one of the first interactive sites I ever created. And really… It’s got images converted to ascii art, which I highlight when you mouse-over them. How awesome is that?
